Protest Infinite Detention of Refugees

Adelaide Immigration Transit Accommodation (55/65 Garland Ave, Kilburn)
9 Refugees who were brought to Australia for medical treatment in 2019 remain in detention in the Adelaide Immigration Transit Centre in Kilburn. In total 192 refugees were brought to Australia for medical treatment. Many remain locked up in detention centres and other facilities.
Join the protest to demand the release of these people into the community.

Due to ongoing COVID 19 restrictions we are unable to run as many events as pre-COVID times. However the demand for support has increased. Loss of employment and lack of Government support means that many asylum seekers and refugees are struggling to buy food or pay rent. For instance asylum seekers on Bridging Visa which is a class of Temporary visa and all Temporary visa holders were deemed ineligible for the Federal Government’s Job Keeper payments.
