Sincere thanks from the Rapid Response Circle (110) to everyone who responded to our recent call for donations. You have got us safely over another hump and all those given a hand as a result have really appreciated receiving the help they need.
Wisely or not, one thing we have done is increase the money for living expenses provided to single men. We all know the cost of living has gone up and they are already on subsistence rates. Because their situation seems unbearable as well as unconscionable and in anticipation of eventual Federal and State Government policy and payment changes the Circle has taken action. Hopefully this will strike a chord with you as well.
The Rapid Response Circle will need ongoing donations to continue these new arrangements, as well as respond quickly to urgent calls for help with medical, utility or other costs.
If each of us does our best, that is enough.
Again, many thanks.

for the Rapid Response Circle (110)
The Rapid Response Circle (110) is the Circle “of last resort” to help with living expenses and settlement needs. Most referrals come from experienced Agencies which have exhausted all other options including Red Cross, Australian Refugee Association (ARA) and Survivors of Torture and Trauma Assistance and Rehabilitation Service (STTARS). The Circle’s goal is always to help when a person:
- has no money
- is homeless or at risk of eviction
- needs urgent medical treatment or rehabilitation
- is a child.
