Some years ago,  Kolsoon was caring for young relatives after her sister was killed by the Taliban. Eventually Kolsoom came to Australia from Afghanistan after the Taliban threatened her life, bringing with her 1 nephew. She lost contact with the other children and only recently learned that they are living in an orphanage in another country. Kolsoom is determined to bring the children to Australia so she can care for them and give them a better future. Can you join us so together we can bring these children to safety?

Come with a group of friends and family to enjoy good company, good food and support a good cause. If you come alone there will be plenty of good company to share.
Rumi has a BYO license and there will be a complimentary bottle of wine on each table. Both vegetarians and those who enjoy meat will be catered for.

Kolsoom means “beautiful flower” and is the affectionate name the children have given to the woman who is trying to sponsor them. Her nephew has drawn a picture of her as a “flower person” carrying another person. He says, “She lifts us and carries us.”
