Fundraising Theatre Dinner at Hopes Cafe

Circle of Hope invites you to a Theatre Dinner featuring the critically acclaimed and wildly popular BOB THE RAILWAY DOG! Bob was smash hit at the 2024 and 2025 Adelaide Fringe and enjoyed a successful tour of regional South Australia and Broken Hill in December 2024.

This is the charming true story of a dog that travelled the railways in the late nineteenth century. It features a puppet, live music and two accomplished actors. Railway Bob was written by actor, musician and multicultural arts worker Keith Preston. It will star Keith Preston and actor, musician and visual artist Deborah Baldassi, and of course Bob the Railway Dog. Bob will be assisted by puppeteer Uma Preston.
The themed dinner is inspired, but not limited to, by railway food of the era, designed by Jon Teo, who has a long association with Hopes Cafe.
Where:  Hopes Cafe Clayton Wesley Church Complex, the Parade Norwood
Book tickets via Humantix
Cost: $40
Last November Circle of Hope launched an exciting new venture to provide casual work and training opportunities for refugees and others needing a hand. This event will raise funds for the venture and most importantly will help refugees that have struggled to get into the workforce to gain skills and confidence and earn a little money.
